St Luke’s CARES is an innovative charity supporting the communities of inner South Leeds through two youth projects working with at risk young people, 2 charity shops - one small community shop and one large furniture warehouse and a community development project.

YAA is an independent Charity needing to raise £12,000 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s Air Ambulances in the air and maintained. This is equivalent to £4.4 million each year. The YAA provides a life saving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across Yorkshire’s 4 million acres. We operate 2 helicopters, flying from Nostell Priory, near Wakefield and RAF Topcliffe, near Thirsk. The service runs 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Patients are transferred to the nearest major trauma centre, flying at speeds of up to 150 mph. YAA paramedics and dispatchers are kindly provided by Yorkshire Ambulance Service. We currently fly over 1,200 missions a year and have airlifted over 7000 people since the Charity was founded in 2000.
