Our Youth Forum will be reformed with new key members of the youth services. The young people will have more of a say in what we provide for them. Y/P will gain many skills such as communication, money management, confidence, self esteem, data collection, assessing & understanding the needs of others, IT, administration, marketing and promotion. The young people first need to come together and understand what their roles are within the forum. We will start by getting them to have positive debates. Following the newly formed forum getting to know each other they will have the opportunity to select roles for each other. Once they have identified what their roles will be they will have the opportunity to reach out to the rest of the y/p that attend our youth services. Our ages range from 5-25 years old and the forum will collect the feedback from their counter parts to see how the youth services can be improved. The forum will focus on making improvements to the youth schedule/timetable and the activities that we provide both inside and outside of the Trust. The forum will have a large task on their hands with them then having to arrange a community event for our services. Whilst this is all taking place the forum has to keep a close eye on sustainability. Together they will be applying for money to continue to press on with their ideas. Our staff will give them all the support they need to ensure that they have the knowledge to help them complete their goals they set for themselves.
