New Building Project
Chester le Street, UK
This campaign matters because none of these therapies are available via statutory services due to cost and staff availability. The new facility will be the only one of its kind in the North East and therapies will be free to any child with physical and/or neurological disabilities. Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic intervention carried out in warm water, led by qualified clinicians, in which children with physical disabilities complete a series of exercises - gentle stretching of arms and legs, floating and relaxation exercise, strengthening exercise using the water resistance, and movement exercise in the water to mimic walking or running etc.The aim is to improve physical health and strength but Hydrotherapy has many physical and emotional benefits for children with disabilities. The total cost of refurbishment is £228,614.00. We have raised £80,000.500 (35% of cost) to date through fundraising, corporate and public support. But we need help towards the remaining £148,613.500. Please help us!
