Can you help young people and their families lead better lives?
Hamilton, UK
Can you spare a couple of hours during the week to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people and their families? COVEY have lots of great volunteer opportunities in befriending and mentoring across Lanarkshire. You can choose to volunteer one-to-one, or within a group setting and we have opportunities during the day and in the evenings. Our various projects support children, young people and their families, so our volunteers can choose to support a child/young person or a parent/carer. By volunteering at COVEY, you will support someone facing challenges in their life and help them overcome these by developing a strong and trusting relationship. By helping someone engage with their community and take part in activities that help them talk about their experiences and build skills, you can make a truly positive difference to their life. A COVEY Welcome Session is taking place on Thursday 22 January, 6.30pm – 8.30pm, in Hamilton, and there will be three training sessions the following Thursdays at the same time.
