Gallagher Community Volunteering
All Gallagher UK colleagues have a three day volunteering allowance each calendar year. Volunteering can give so much value to the local communities we serve, but it also provides a fantastic team building opportunity and the chance to learn new skills. We’ve partnered with Neighbourly to bring you the best volunteering opportunities that deliver real impact to the communities we live and work in.
Please ensure you record your volunteering both via the Neighbourly platform and our internal MyHR platform.
Gallagher Matched Giving 2026
Welcome to Gallagher’s Matched Giving campaign page! As we aim to help communities face their future with confidence, we are committed to making a positive impact in our local communities. If you are fundraising for a charity/cause that matters to you, whether it’s a sponsored run, getting your team together for a quiz night, or whisking up a bake-off, we will boost your efforts with pound for pound matching, up to £700 per calendar year.
If you volunteer in your own time we will also match your volunteering efforts by contributing £10 for every hour that you volunteer. Please note that the £700 annual allowance covers both fundraising and volunteering.
You can apply for matching if you are a GGB-UK or Gallagher Benefits Services UK colleague. Your good cause must be a community interest company, social enterprise, community groups or a registered charity. Donations can be made overseas but the organisation must be registered in the UK.
Gallagher Community Fund 2026
Do you know a charity, community group, or local good cause that could use a helping hand? Well, here’s your chance to make a real impact! The Gallagher Community Fund is here to support the good causes that matter most to you.
What’s the Community Fund?
It’s simple: in the first month of every quarter, Gallagher UK colleagues can nominate a good cause close to their hearts to receive a £1,000 donation.
How to Nominate:
With only 500 characters, please keep your nominations concise. We recommend focusing on the below to be in with the best chance of your nomination being successful:
1. Your personal connection – What does this cause mean to you?
2. A bit about the good cause – What do they do, and who do they help?
3. How the donation will help – Be specific! Will it fund new equipment, support a programme, or help with day-to-day running costs?
Making A Difference Competition 2026
After a successful 2025 campaign, our Making a Difference competition is back! This is a chance for you to win an incredible £25,000 donation to any UK registered charity close to your heart. Don’t miss the opportunity to apply by Friday 30th January for this incredible cash donation.
The winning application will be chosen by the UK & EMEA ESG Committee in February. Runner-up finalists will also each receive a £5,000 donation.
To maximise the positive impact, we encourage you to nominate smaller registered charities (those with an annual income between £25,000- £1 million) where a donation of this magnitude would allow them to achieve things they’d have never thought possible.
Don’t take our word for it though, hear from last year’s winner, Serena Mackay and runner up, Daz Keelor on the impact Making a Difference can make.

Gallagher Community Fund 2025
The Community Fund accepts nominations from Gallagher colleagues for charities, community groups and local good causes.
Gallagher UK colleagues can nominate at any time for charity projects and initiatives that are meaningful to you and the communities in which we work. You'll need to be able to tell us a bit about the charity and your relationship with them and how the donation will help the charity face their future with confidence.
Maybe you'd like to support a charity with purchasing new equipment, much-needed research, a hardship-fund, new outdoor facilities, an education programme or a make-over of facilities. Make sure you tell us about this on your nomination.
Nominations will open for the first month of every quarter (January, April, July, October). On a quarterly basis we review nominations and award cash injection grants of up to £1000.
Due to high demand, nominations may close sooner than expected so be sure to get your nomination in as soon as possible!
Making A Difference Award 2025
After a successful 2024 campaign, our Making a Difference award is back! This is a chance for you to donate an incredible £25,000 to any UK registered close to your heart. Don’t miss the opportunity to apply by Friday 24th January for this incredible cash donation.
To maximise the positive impact we encourage you to nominate smaller, grassroots good causes, where the donation will allow them to achieve things they otherwise would have not been able to do. With this in mind, we’d love you to focus on charities with an annual income of less than £1 million. The winning application will be chosen by the UK & EMEA ESG Committee. Judges will also select four runner-up finalists who will each receive a £5,000 donation.
Don’t take our word for it though, hear from last year’s winner, Sarah Millian, and her nominated cause, Dandelion Time, on the impact Making a Difference can make - scroll down to watch this video.
