Helping Hand Community

Our vision is to continue to develop the Helping Hand Community project and build it into a truly community group where everyone can be involved and make a difference. All funds will be reinvested into the project, enabling fundraising events to be held and mobile food banks to be set up in various areas. We have built strong relationships with a variety of organisations, community groups and local hostels and shelters to ensure surplus food goes to the people in most need. Officially formed in 2023, we have been serving the community since 2018. Over the years, we have built relationships and work with fantastic organisations to help those who need it the most.

And as a certified B Corp, we empower our people to make a change through the work they do every day, but also to contribute working time to make a difference through volunteering with an unlimited volunteering allowance. In 2024 we’ll be helping to nourish life across all three of our impact journey pillars through volunteering: whether its supporting better nutrition for all or keeping our local areas clean & green for everyone to enjoy, there are plenty of opportunities for each of us to make a difference.

Whether you’re helping our national charity partners FoodCycle and FoodCloud or supporting our local partners, there are plenty of opportunities for each of us to make a difference. For all in-person volunteering events: a risk assessment needs to be completed and shared with the Danone WISE team 2 weeks ahead of the event.
